Otello: A Festive Staged Concert Event

Veronica performs with the Austin Opera chorus in their concert-version of Verdi's Otello. About the opera (https://austinopera.org/event/otello/): The victorious naval warrior Otello will be performed by rising star tenor Issachah Savage, who captivated Austin Opera audiences as Radamès in Aida in 2015. Fresh off her triumph as Violetta in our spring 2018 production of La traviata, soprano Marina Costa-Jackson returns to sing the heartbreaking role of the faithful wife Desdemona. Austin Opera favorite baritone Michael Chioldi returns for his fifth role in Austin as the treacherous and cunning Iago.

Veronica will make her San Antonio solo debut performing with Ars Longa, a professional ensemble dedicated to the elevation and preservation of timeless choral works. Ars Longa is the Ensemble in Residence at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church. Their Fall 2018 project, Sacred Space, features James MacMillan's Strathclyde Motets as well as works by David Conte, Mendelssohn, Hogan, Paulus, Rheinberger, and Stanford.
